SMART/LAB launches new product: standortpartner enables
B2B partnerships between operators and site owners
Aachen, 06.11.2024. The new product standortpartner expands the ladecloud billing platform from SMART/LAB GmbH. A simple participation option allows partners of the ladenetz.de and ladebusiness networks to enter into valuable B2B partnerships and drive forward the expansion of the charging infrastructure.
The functionalities of the ladecloud platform previously enabled partners to create their own contract offers, process the automated billing of end customers and offer ad-hoc charging at their own charging infrastructure. With the location partner module, operators from the SMART/LAB network can now connect new sub-organizations in their own design.
"Operators' own spaces are limited. For small companies, setting up and operating charging infrastructure, for example on their own parking spaces, involves a lot of operational effort," explains Thomas Rahmen, CTO of SMART/LAB. "Our solution brings both parties together and gives operators the opportunity to acquire new private spaces in order to further expand their own e-mobility network."
With the location partner module, we are launching this new business model and offering companies the first basis for effectively expanding their charging infrastructure in cooperation with site owners. In the future, we plan to continuously expand the solution and provide additional functions in order to meet the requirements of the growing market even better.
The individual B2B conditions per charging process and/or kWh are defined between the operator and sub-organization via our platform and automatically calculated on a monthly basis. The operator retains full control and insight into its charging infrastructure, while the space owner has an overview of the transactions on the charging infrastructure on its own spaces.
"With our solution, we enable energy suppliers and companies to expand their own network, collaborate with other local companies and thus minimize competition in their own region," says Mark Walcher, CEO of SMART/LAB. Landowners can now offer charging infrastructure without any operator obligations, thereby increasing the attractiveness of their location and generating additional revenue.
The ladecloud billing platform
Many innovations in the field of billing products are largely based on the flexibility of SMART/LAB through the independent development of the ladecloud platform. A milestone that enables customer-centric further development of the billing solution. The full migration of all customers and end customers to ladecloud was successfully completed at the beginning of 2024. This also marked the end of the collaboration with the previous platform operator Wirelane.
The ladecloud remains a complete white-label billing solution for customers of the ladebusiness and ladenetz.de networks with the option of connecting their own contract customers, issuing charging cards and billing charging processes. The redesign of the platform comes with an intuitive user interface and more branding options for customers. One of the biggest changes is the new tariff structure for contract creation, which simplifies price transparency for end customers and at the same time allows operators to set flexible and individual prices.
