SMART/LAB offers the possibility to use the SMART/LAB backend system through the compatibility test for the EVBox Group.
SMART/LAB, the leading provider of services, products and concepts for electromobility, has achieved another ladenetz.de Ready Plus certification with the EVBox Group - manufacturer of innovative and scalable charging solutions. The EVBox Group attaches great importance to universal manufacturer standards such as OCPP. This enables communication between hardware and software from different manufacturers in order to guarantee customers the greatest possible flexibility. This means that the company's DC charging solutions can now be used with the central SMART/LAB backend system LISY at over 240 municipal utilities and over 100 business partners.
A forward-looking collaboration
With a forward-looking mindset and innovative research approaches, SMART/LAB, which was founded in 2010, has now established itself as the market leader in the field of electromobility with over 10,000 public charging points. SMART/LAB offers its customers 360° products such as the LISY backend system for charging and roaming services. This gives customers direct access to over 120,000 public charging points across Europe using their municipal utility charging card or their charging business card in the charging network association. An important service offered by the company is
In addition, the Ladenetz.de Ready Plus compatibility test, which has now also been successfully carried out on EVBox fast charging stations.
"At SMART/LAB, we work through a detailed test protocol for each certification, in which all the necessary functions for daily use are tested and optimised if necessary. In addition to the technical aspects in the background, we also attach great importance to the usability of the system. Communication with the EVBox charging systems worked very well there. We are aiming for certification of the EVBox Elvi Wallbox for further cooperation." (Dennis Orban OP/IT at SMART/LAB)
A future-orientated mobility concept
Europe-wide interoperability of charging solutions is the key to creating a nationwide charging infrastructure. EVBox has also been committed to the flexible use of its charging solutions for years and therefore always adheres to OCPP standards in the production process.
"The standardisation of our products as a basis contributes to manufacturer-independent communication between different components in charging solutions. This flexibility is an important aspect that contributes to the spread of e-mobility, and certification by SMART/LAB brings us another step closer." (Hermann Winkler, Regional Director DACH at EVBox)
More room for manoeuvre when developing the charging infrastructure
During the compatibility test by SMART/LAB, the DC stations from EVBox were put through several scenarios that tested the safety and functionality of the products as well as their reliability and ease of maintenance. This includes, among other things, smooth interaction between test stations and users. Now that the demanding certification process has been completed by SMART/LAB, the EVBox Ultroniq, EVBox Troniq50 and the new EVBox Troniq Modular fast charging stations are officially compatible with the company's backend.
"As the demand for high-power chargers is constantly increasing, it is good for us to have EVBox on board with its Troniq series. Our portfolio of high-power chargers and DC chargers, which is currently still relatively small, is thus expanding directly with 3 new charging systems: The EVBoxTroniq 50, EVBox Troniq Modular and EVBox Ultroniq." (Mark Steffen Walcher, CEO SMART/LAB)
