smartlab concludes a roaming agreement with Europe's leading high-power charging network IONITY. This creates one of the largest fast-charging networks in Germany for customers of ladenetz.de municipal utilities and ladenetz.de business partners.

Aachen. The roaming agreement between smartlab Innovationsgesellschaft mbH and IONITY GmbH will create one of the largest fast-charging networks in Germany and one of the largest in Europe for customers of the municipal utility platform ladenetz.de and the commercial platform ladenetz.de Business-Partner. IONITY is building and operating its High Power Charging (HPC) network with state-of-the-art technology and a charging capacity of up to 350 kW. The charging stations use the European charging standard CCS (Combined Charging System) and are powered by 100 % of renewable energy.

Across Europe, customers of ladenetz.de now have access to 340 IONITY fast-charging parks with over 1600 charging points. In addition to smartlab's roaming partners, ladenetz.de and ladenetz.de business partners are also contributing several hundred fast-charging points, operated by the municipal utilities and the business partners themselves. "We are delighted that we can close many gaps in Germany and Europe through roaming with IONITY. This brings us another decisive step closer to our goal of seamless mobility in Germany," says Dr Mark Steffen Walcher, CEO of smartlab and e-clearing.net GmbH. In addition to the charging points in Germany, this also opens up further charging options in many parts of Europe,
such as: Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, England, Italy, Hungary and many more. The European platform e-clearing.net, which recently welcomed its millionth active user, forms the basis for the exchange of data.

smartlab develops innovative services, products and concepts for electromobility. Each IONITY charging station offers an average of four charging points. As a commitment to sustainability, customers charge 100 % renewable energy at all IONITY chargers for emission-free and CO2-neutral driving.
