The Aachen-based innovation company SMART/LAB has been shaping the future of electromobility for over a decade. Now the company has a new look and is launching three new websites at the same time.
With the online presences of ladenetz.de and the new brand loading business The more than 230 existing energy suppliers and more than 60 business partners are to be integrated even more attractively and new partnerships developed. The new SMART/LAB website also pools existing expertise from current science and research.
The smooth, barrier-free and constant availability of charging options is the central concern here. A goal that is being realised together with the energy suppliers and business partners. "Every electric car consumes more or less the same amount of electricity as a four-person household. This is being pushed a little into the background in the current debate," says Managing Director Dr Mark Walcher. "This creates new sales markets for energy supply companies, and companies benefit from new business models." For e-mobilists, this means that being electrically mobile is becoming increasingly convenient. The mobile technical possibilities will help: "In five years, the smartphone and the electric vehicle will have merged into one unit in favour of the energy industry," predicts Mark Walcher.
Flexible e-mobilists and customers already have access to the network of loading business and ladenetz.de 12,000 charging points are available throughout Germany. The charging systems of all partners are also connected to the e-clearing.net roaming platform. This gives users access to one of the largest charging networks in Germany and Europe with over 100,000 available charging points.
SMART/LAB makes the future tangible today so that every charging process can be realised in a completely uncomplicated way. "As everyone will be travelling by electric vehicle in the future, every customer must be able to be charged anywhere by anyone. In addition, the required amount of energy must always be made available. Intelligent digital systems can guarantee this. Two of the many goals we are working towards as an intelligent laboratory with SMART/LAB," says Walcher.
The next steps on the road to the electromobility of the future are the imminent launch of the new charging app and exciting changes in the ownership structure of
SMART/LAB, with which the speed is further increased.
